Life changes:

Life changes can force us through a rough time. Life changes constantly, but sometimes just a bit too much. There can be trouble in the family or problems in school, a relationship can come to an end, jobs can be lost and sometimes we have to move and relocate. We may feel overwhelmed by what’s been happening and we need help sorting out our feelings and finding solutions to our problems.

Relationship struggles:

Relationship struggles can feel overwhelming. Thinking about divorce and frustrated with your relationship? Find out if your relationship can be saved. In my experience, therapy can be incredibly helpful for adults, particularly women who want to be in a healthy loving relationship but continue to feel overwhelmed and get stuck in the same pattern that does not serve them. One of the most rewarding things about being a therapist is watching my clients learn to identify their patterns, understand where they come from, and begin to do something different…something that moves them toward positive changes, forming healthy, stable relationships with themselves and partners.

Don’t think you’re an exception for anyone and everyone can suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship struggles. Life’s challenges can feel dark, heavy or even impossible to deal with. Life transitions such as loss, moving or divorce may create stress and a need to talk it through. Let us look a bit closer to some of these needs and a few examples of how therapy could help.

Depression occurs when the activity of the mind and body are slowed down. It can affect our habits and the way we feel about ourselves and how we see the world. We often lose interest and pleasure in things that we once enjoyed. We feel we fell into a hole and we want to climb out again. Therapy can help you get your life back on track so that you feel less suffering and more fulfillment.

Anxiety seems to go the other way, it speeds us up. Our mind, thoughts and body are very active and we feel often nervous. Rapid thoughts and anxiousness use up a lot of our energy and create the need to find peace of mind. Sometimes depression and anxiety take turns, even more reason to find relief. Traditional like neuropsychology and alternative healing methods like vibrational repatterning can help you bring less stress and more calm into your life.

Trauma appears from painful life experiences. A car accident, death, violent crime or rape, physical, emotional or sexual abuse can cause emotional shock. We can see this wounding as leading to a dark night of the soul. It may lead to a loss of meaning, aloneness and ultimately transformation. Healing from trauma starts with restoring a sense of safety, grieving the loss and rebuilding one’s sense of wholeness. EMDR, Hypnosis and tapas can just a few tools that could accelerate healing.

Addiction is a deep craving that grows and becomes part of our brain’s automatic pilot. Learning about how the brain works and how addiction is a biological problem is part of recovery from any addiction whether it be alcohol, drugs or sugar. Assessment including a mental health nutrition component and developing a relapse plan including are important steps towards healing.

Healing is a process that clears out old patterns, memories, concepts, and behaviors that no longer serve our higher needs and aspirations.
The focus is not on ‘fixing’ what needs to be healed; healing implies something is wrong and needs to be ‘fixed’. Instead, from an (soul’s) artist’s perspective, you are creating a spiritual masterpiece from deep within, moment to moment.

I have been getting remarkable results combining a variety of tools:

  • Transpersonal psychology,
  • energy psychology,
  • humanistic astrology,
    neuropsychology, and personalized meditations.
  • Hypnosis,
  • EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, Reprocessing) and IBSR (Integrated, Body Stress Reduction),
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

The above in combination I believe speed up the process by a factor of at least three. All combine in a powerful impact to work through layers of healing. Combined with traditional psychology it creates a synergistic effect. I provide you with a manual of take-home tools to support your inner world.

In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral, Jungian influenced, Gestalt, Humanistic approaches I also offer:

Alternative healing methods.

Hypnotherapy is an effective and speedy means of working with the mind. It makes use of the natural techniques of hypnosis to gain swift access to deeply rooted anxieties and problems. I practice a technique called the “Dive,” which identifies & integrates thoughts, feelings, & sensations. New & old situations are resolved. It leads clients back to their center.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)is a structured therapy that encourages someone to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.

Touch for health incorporates muscle testing, acupuncture touch, the energy meridians to improve postural balance and reduce physical and mental imbalance.

Tapas “Energy psychotherapy works on the subtle energy system of the body and balancing meridians.

It incorporates muscle testing, acupuncture touch and the energy meridians for physical/energetic balance specific to a particular symptom or issue. For example, someone having a problem with grief would use a sequence of points that balance the energy meridians.

Different types of energy psychotherapy include emotional freedom technique (EFT) Gary Craig, Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) Elizabeth Tapas Fleming, and touch for Health (TFH) John Thie.

Through the use of these techniques energy patterns from past experiences, blockages, old paradigms and belief systems can be balanced.

 Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Gary Craig, Tappas Acupressure Technique (TAT) Elizabeth Tapas Fleming, – These techniques all utilize acupressure points in the meridian system. In simplest terms, EFT is a form of emotional acupuncture, without needles.

Instead we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while the client is ‘tuned in’ to the issue.

EFT has been proven clinically effective for stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, cravings, and fears.

Add eft like psychological acupressure using gentle tapping technique to stimulate traditional Chinese acupuncture points as well as affirmations to clear emotional blocks that are holding you back from what you truly want.
